Job summary

CEU Carbon Engineering ULC is seeking an Operational Electrical Engineer to provide support for field electrical infrastructure, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations. The role involves working with high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems, while overseeing project designs and factory acceptance testing.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, have a minimum of 8 years of experience, and extensive knowledge of commissioning electrical projects. This position is primarily field-based and requires excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, with 5+ years in the field.
• Extensive background in commissioning electrical projects and substations up to 230kV.
• Knowledge in calculating arc flash hazards using IEEE1584 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for power distribution equipment start‑up and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate on designs for minor and major projects, performing various studies.
• Manage factory acceptance testing and coordinate start‑up procedures.
