Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV - Field Service) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment with minimal supervision.

You will work with a highly skilled team, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to the Service Department's leadership trajectory. You will travel to customer sites to service rental or customer-owned equipment, maintain a professional appearance of the service vehicle, and help train junior technicians as

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as needed.
