Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV - Field Service) to perform maintenance and repair of complex equipment with limited supervision. You will travel to customer sites, document work orders, and assist with training junior technicians, ensuring safe, quality service.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards, with opportunities for growth within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment and tools with limited supervision.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as needed.
