Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based technician to install, program, test, troubleshoot and service on-site projects for HVAC/Controls systems. You will coordinate with customers and team leaders, document verification, and ensure safety.

Requires 3–5 years HVAC/Controls experience, a high school diploma, MS Office, valid driver’s license, and knowledge of DDC controls. This role offers hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; typically 3–5 years of HVAC/Controls experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; working with handheld devices (smartphone/tablet).
• Valid driver's license (12+ months) with clean driving record.
• Experience with DDC controls system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commission, program, set up graphics, communications link, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting and servicing on assigned projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close-out requirements.
• Represent the company as the direct customer contact; service products and equipment on site and ensure customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs; forecast issues, gather materials, synchronize on-site work.
• Stay current on Trane products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Maintain safety standards and asset accountability; document use and conditions.
• Demonstrate team effort by being flexible to overtime and occasional overnight stays as needed.
