Job summary

Hughes Marino in Baltimore, MD seeks a Senior Field Construction Manager with a strong MEP focus to act as the owner’s representative on a confidential defense technology portfolio. You will oversee multiple concurrent commercial and industrial projects, coordinate with the client and GCs, and ensure schedule, budget, and quality align with client goals.

This high-visibility role requires field leadership, engagement with executives, and a proactive approach to risk, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field construction management experience
• Owner's rep/CM role experience preferred
• Strong MEP fluency across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and controls
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience with coordinating in occupied facilities and shutdowns
• Experience with FAT/vendor facility visits and commissioning

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site construction oversight as owner’s representative
• Lead field walks and monitor progress, safety, schedule, and quality
• Coordinate with GC, subcontractors, design teams, AHJs, and the client
• Oversee MEP installations and verify against drawings and submittals
• Manage field RFIs, changes, and closeout deliverables
• Prepare and maintain field reports, logs, and client communications
