Job summary

Matrix Service Company seeks a Construction Manager IV to oversee field execution on EPC industrial projects, guiding safety, budgets, schedules and subcontractor management on assigned sites. The role collaborates with Operations and Project Managers to plan pre-job activities and ensure economical, safe construction.

Requires 6+ years’ related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction, or 10 years of related experience.
• 5+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate/industry practices and their impact on project activities.
• Working knowledge of oil field design, construction, finance, and project management.
• Ability to apply innovative management techniques to maximize performance.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling and cost controls.
• Excellent communication and computer skills (MS Word, Project, Excel).
• Field inspections/audits and physical requirements: walk through sites.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and use PPE.
• Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Support safety programs and uphold core company values.
• Oversee field execution and safety across projects.
• Assist with pre-job planning: budgets, schedules, safety, quality, equipment, staffing, subcontractors.
• Staffing key positions and ensuring qualified personnel.
• Attend bid meetings and walk-downs to determine scope and estimates.
• Review RFPs, specs, drawings, and data for proposal development.
