Job summary

GFT, a private AEC firm, seeks a Construction Inspector II to join our Construction Services Team in North Carolina. This hybrid role requires regular office presence and entails overseeing construction, inspecting workmanship, material testing, and maintaining project documentation to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.

You will manage client and contractor interactions, prepare samples for lab testing, track quantities, and help develop pay estimates and change orders

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
5–10 years of construction inspection experience.
Experience with highway projects and inspections for NCDOT, municipal, or related agencies.

Responsibilities

Inspect and oversee construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Serve as daily contact with clients and contractors; manage observations, testing, and documentation.
Prepare material samples for lab testing and maintain project logs and change orders.
