Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in code enforcement or law enforcement, with an emphasis on public contact.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.
• ICC/AACE Zoning Inspector Certification.
• Pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of structures and materials to identify and resolve code violations.
• Investigate and respond to complaints from the public, staff, and other agencies regarding potential violations.
• Document findings and prepare detailed reports and evidence, including materials used in legal proceedings.
• Review Inspector I caseloads and train new inspectors to maintain consistency and accuracy across the team.
• Serve as backup for the Code Compliance Supervisor and provide technical guidance on code interpretation and compliance.
