Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician in Olathe, KS. The role focuses on field testing, sample collection, and documenting results to ensure construction projects meet standards.

You will work across the Kansas City metro area, independently at sites and also mentor less‑experienced technicians. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of CMT experience or equivalent certifications (ICC/ACI Grade I) or an engineering degree with EIT.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in construction observation, inspection, or construction materials testing.
• ICC or ACI Grade I certification, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering with EIT.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and inspections of construction materials.
• Collect samples and document results.
• Operate testing equipment and maintain field records.
• Communicate findings with project managers and stakeholders.
• Work at construction sites across the Kansas City metro area.
• Mentor less-experienced technicians.
