Job summary

LAMMICO in Metairie, LA is seeking an experienced claims professional to investigate, evaluate, and manage the defense of claims to resolution. The role negotiates settlements within delegated authority and may act as a directing member of the defense team.

Responsibilities include maintaining reserves, coordinating with insureds, defense attorneys, and providers, aiding in trial preparation, and producing reports for Claims Committee while ensuring timely data entry and adherence to department

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of four years of experience in insurance claims.
• Maintain a current adjuster’s license for all states where claims are handled.
• Strong customer focus and team orientation.
• Ability to handle confidential information and maintain integrity.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Proven time management and analytical abilities.
