Job summary

CORRE, Inc. is seeking a mid-level civil engineering technician to join our construction services team and support field operations on WisDOT highway projects. You will lead projects and/or perform daily inspections, document field activities, and coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and WisDOT staff to ensure compliance with plans and standards.

Some travel and physical site work are required. Qualifications include an associate degree and 6–15+ years of roadway inspection

Qualifications

Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
6–15+ years of roadway or bridge construction inspection experience.
Familiarity with WisDOT specs, standards, and documentation procedures (preferred).

Responsibilities

Lead projects and/or perform daily highway and bridge construction inspection per plans and standards.
Document field activities, track quantities, and prepare daily inspection reports using WisDOT systems.
Conduct or observe field testing of concrete, asphalt, soils, and aggregates per WisDOT.
Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and WisDOT staff to resolve field issues.
Assist with project documentation, pay estimates, and plan interpretation.
Support traffic control checks, erosion control monitoring, and safety compliance.
