Job summary

CORRE, inc. is seeking a mid-level engineer to lead construction inspection and provide design support for WisDOT projects in Wisconsin.

You will manage on-site inspections, verify contractor compliance, track quantities, and coordinate with WisDOT staff and clients to resolve field issues. The role also involves using Autodesk Civil 3D for plan sheets and exhibits, assisting with roadway and structure design tasks, and supporting multiple projects with strong communication and organization.

Qualifications

• Four-year technical degree in civil engineering or related field with relatable experience.
• Familiarity with WisDOT procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site inspection and documentation of WisDOT or other highway/bridge projects.
• Verify contractor compliance with WisDOT standards, specifications, and contracts.
• Track quantities, review pay apps, and maintain accurate daily records with WisDOT systems.
• Communicate with contractors, WisDOT staff, and team to resolve field issues.
• Use Civil 3D to prepare plan sheets, revisions, and exhibits for WisDOT projects.
• Assist with roadway and structure design tasks as needed.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design decisions and verify submittals.
• Lead or support project managers and engineers across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with WisDOT, local municipalities, and internal teams for smooth delivery.
• Handle multiple deadlines while delivering design and field work of high quality.
• Communicate effectively with team, clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Provide guidance for staff and promote company growth and processes.
