6 Degrees Search seeks a Senior Field Commissioning Engineer to lead the end-to-end commissioning of automated systems in the Greater Milwaukee area. You will manage field deployments, calibrate multi-axis robotics, and validate PLC logic across client sites.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong knowledge of Rockwell Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal, plus the ability to travel up to 80% and occasionally work on international deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on field commissioning experience with automated systems.
• Strong PLC diagnostics including programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell/Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal).
• Reading electrical prints and schematics; robotics and automation knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Lead Equipment Readiness: direct commissioning, live-wire debug, and I/O validation of custom automated systems.
• Robotic & Cell Calibration: calibrate multi-axis robotic platforms and EOAT checks.
• Hands-On Diagnostics: troubleshoot PLC logic, servo drives, vision systems, pneumatics, and safety interlocks.
• Customer Field Deployments: lead onsite installations and customer training at facilities.
• Cross-Functional Interface: work with mechanical design engineers, PMs, and shop floor teams to isolate issues.
• Project Administrative Discipline: track testing hours, manage issue lists, and report progress.
