Job summary

USAA in Ocala, FL is seeking an auto claims adjuster to appraise vehicle damage and manage claims end-to-end. You will evaluate highly complex auto physical damage claims, communicate with insured, suppliers, and internal teams, and ensure accurate estimates in compliance with state laws.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2 years of auto appraising experience, and an active Florida All-Lines Adjuster license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of auto appraising experience.
• Proficient knowledge of P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages.
• Advanced working knowledge of estimating losses using CCC or similar estimating platforms.
• Demonstrated written and verbal skills to communicate with members, claimants, repair facilities, and other stakeholders.
• Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and appraise highly complex auto physical damage claims.
• Investigate claim damages and communicate with insured, internal adjusters, and third parties.
• Review facts of loss and vehicle damage to determine subrogation opportunities and ensure documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of insurance products, services, contracts, and processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review claims for fraud indicators and refer to Special Investigations Unit if applicable.
• Maintain accurate claim files and support timely adjudication.
