ERM is seeking a Senior Consultant, Field Lead Archaeologist to shape field investigations and regulatory analyses across the United States, with a focus on the Southwest. This full-time role combines fieldwork with office tasks and requires travel.

You will support NHPA Section 106 compliance, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with regulatory agencies and cross-functional teams to advance ERM’s cultural resources practice.

Formación

• Master’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years professional archaeology experience (4+ preferred).
• Experience as Field Lead in the Southwest.
• Eligible for BLM/ARPA/state cultural resource permits.
• Knowledge of NHPA Section 106 and state cultural resource regulations.
• Experience authoring/co-authoring agency-reviewed technical reports.
• Ability to lead field efforts independently or in teams.
• Must travel to field sites across the United States; field time up to ~75%.
• Must be able to walk long distances and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct archaeological surveys, testing, data recovery, and construction monitoring.
• Prepare technical report sections for cultural resource investigations and environmental documents.
• Perform archival and desktop research to support project analyses.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies including SHPO and BLM.
• Support environmental permitting and compliance processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (planners, biologists, GIS specialists, engineers).
• Represent ERM in client, stakeholder, and agency interactions.
• Contribute to business development and growth in cultural heritage services.
