ERM is seeking a Senior Consultant, Field Lead Archaeologist to advance cultural resource stewardship across the Southwestern states. You will lead fieldwork and regulatory analysis that informs responsible development and environmental decision-making.

The role blends field and office work, demanding leadership in Southwest archaeology, NHPA Section 106 proficiency, and travel up to 75%. Base pay is competitive with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years (4+ preferred) of professional experience.
• Field Lead experience in the Southwest.
• Eligibility for cultural resource permits (BLM, ARPA, state).
• Strong knowledge of NHPA Section 106 and state regulations.
• Experience authoring agency-reviewed technical reports.
• Ability to lead field efforts independently or with a team.
• Willingness to travel nationwide within the United States.
• Physical ability to walk long distances and lift up to 50 lbs.

Aufgaben

• Conduct archaeological surveys, testing, data recovery, and monitoring.
• Prepare technical report sections for cultural resource investigations.
• Perform archival and desktop research to support analyses.
• Collaborate with SHPO, BLM, and other agencies.
• Support permitting and compliance processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (planners, biologists, GIS, engineers).
• Represent ERM in client, stakeholder, and agency interactions.
• Contribute to business development in cultural heritage services.
