Job summary

ERM in the United States seeks a Senior Consultant, Field Lead Archaeologist to shape fieldwork and regulatory analysis across the Southwest. You will lead Class I-III investigations, coordinate with SHPO and BLM, and produce technical reports to inform federal and state decisions.

This full-time, hybrid role requires travel up to 75% during peak season, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a track record of Southwest field leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional archaeological experience (4+ preferred).
• Experience as a Field Lead in the Southwest.
• Eligible for BLM, ARPA, and state cultural resource permits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological surveys, testing, data recovery, and monitoring.
• Prepare technical reports for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with SHPO, BLM, and other agencies.
• Support environmental permitting and cross-functional teams.
