Job summary

Impinj, Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to act as the primary technical liaison between Impinj and partners, while delivering on-site support to customers.

You will combine RF/Rain RFID expertise with strong communication to drive pre-sales enablement, product industrialization, and post-sales support globally, including international travel. The role requires a strong engineering background, robust problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel 25–50% to customer sites,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in field applications, pre-sales, or RF engineering.
• Strong problem-solving with structured approach.
• Solid RF knowledge: link budgets, antennas, propagation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison for end-user customers, channel partners and tech teams.
• Support pre-sales with proposals and technical presentations.
• Troubleshoot field issues via root-cause analysis.
• Develop and implement solution strategies using Impinj RAIN RFID tech.
• Create product demos and training programs; support trials.
• Support multi-partner solution development and collaborate with sales.
