Position: Senior Field Applications Engineer

Join the Americas FAE team, reporting to the FAE Manager. This role involves providing technical support and working directly with Sales Managers, business unit teams, customers, Sales Representative Partners, Distributors, and others to achieve new design-ins.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Achieve product design wins at customers for all Qorvo business units, with emphasis on Defense and Aerospace
• Provide initial technical support for all products for customers
• Assist customers with design approaches, including ESD, FCC (emissions), thermal design, etc.
• Identify and define new product requirements with customers
• Represent customer issues and requirements to business unit Applications and Marketing teams
• Support failure analysis and problem resolution
• Perform testing and characterization of Qorvo devices and customer designs
• Maintain cross-reference database for competitor devices
• Provide technical product updates to customers to support the regional sales team
• Travel periodically to customer regions as needed to resolve design or production issues

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in RF/Microwave technical roles (design, product engineering, applications engineering, etc.)
• Hands-on experience in RF circuit/system design and debugging
• Understanding of RF Systems from design to component level
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with Gallium Nitride (GaN) power amplifiers
• Experience with RF simulation tools like ADS
• Experience with Power Management ICs (PMICs)

Position Location

USA: Flexible, preferably NE USA (e.g., MA) or Southern California

Compensation

Base salary: $124,100 - $161,400 (dependent on location and experience). Qorvo reserves the right to adjust salary ranges based on qualifications and market conditions. Total Rewards details are available upon request.
