Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer with strong robotics integration knowledge and fluent French-English communication. The role focuses on regional partner enablement, certifications, and field deployments to BD standards.

You will work with integration teams, provide technical training, and assist in product updates. Domestic/international travel up to 50% is expected, with sponsorship not available for visas.

Qualifications

• Language: Professional proficiency in both French and English (written and verbal) required.
• Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field; Master's preferred; or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years in robotics, automation, or systems integration. Prior Field Applications Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Project Management, or Solution Architecture experience preferred.
• Technical Skills (Nice to Have): Networking, Linux (Ubuntu), Programming in Python, C++, TypeScript or Kotlin, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional subject matter expert on integrations and enable partners to deliver deployments to BD standards.
• Manage engagement across multiple integration projects ensuring quality, reliability, and ROI.
• Lead resolution of complex technical escalations with engineering to address issues.
• Develop and prototype integration solutions using BD APIs/SDKs and create tools/workflows.
• Support partner technical certifications and review integration designs and deliverables.
• Deliver technical training to partner engineers and project managers for product updates and Inspector releases.
• Act as regional conduit for partner and customer feedback for product and CI programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align program requirements and product evolution.
• Support technical go-to-market pilots and field validation of new technologies.

Senior Field Application Engineer - French Language Requirement

Job Summary

The Senior Field Application Engineer serves as a key technical resource for Boston Dynamics' Certified Integrator initiative. This role supports regional integration partners in delivering high-quality integrations, handling technical escalations, and contributing to continuous improvements across products and programs. The Senior FAE combines solid robotics expertise with strong communication and partner engagement skills, helping Boston Dynamics scale robotic solutions globally through a trusted ecosystem of certified partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a regional conduit for partner and customer feedback, translating operational insights into input for product and CI program teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align program requirements, partner capabilities, and product evolution.
• Support technical go-to-market pilots in-region, assisting with field validation of new technologies and sales activities.
• Contribute to process improvements in partner enablement, certification, and technical standards.

• Proficient troubleshooting skills across autonomy, mapping, networking, and hardware domains.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills (Nice to Have):
  • Networking (protocols, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routers/switches).
  • Linux (Ubuntu) systems management and optimization.
  • Programming experience in Python, C++, TypeScript, or Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
• Certificates: Relevant industry certifications in robotics, networking, or systems integration a plus.

Travel Requirements

The pay range for this position is between $90,000 to $115,000 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
