Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Plainsboro, NJ seeks a Senior Alignment and Field Planning Manager to lead the design, optimization, and execution of field territory alignments across CMCS, Rare Disease, and Market Access. You will partner with Field Leadership to translate strategy into deployment decisions.

You will champion AI-enabled planning, manage cross-functional teams and external vendors, and drive governance for alignment processes to optimize market access strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or PharmD; 8+ years in pharmaceutical sales planning or business analysis.
• Experience in call planning design implementation preferred or sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) essential.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Experience with alignment software such as Javelin Territory Designer, AlignStar, TerrAlign, PharmaAlign or Veeva Align.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and execute field territory alignments and targeting across CMCS (including CMCS_VIR), Rare Disease, and Market Access teams.
• Lead analytical processes translating business strategy, customer opportunity, field capacity, and market dynamics into effective field structures.
• Provide data-driven recommendations on territory design, deployment, and organizational structure; partner with Field Leadership.
• Champion use of AI, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance planning capabilities and decision quality.
• Train field users on alignment tools and manage external vendors for alignment-related deliverables.
