Job summary

Windward Risk Managers is seeking a field-based property claims adjuster located within commutable distance to Lee and Collier Counties in Florida. The role requires on-site inspections and regular travel within the assigned territory.

You will handle prompt, courteous service for property claims, interact with a range of stakeholders, and determine coverage while documenting each file thoroughly. Florida licensure and 3+ years in homeowners claims are required.

Qualifications

• Florida All-Lines Adjuster license is required.
• 3+ years of homeowner's claims field adjusting experience.
• Proficient with Xactimate and sketching including mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Prompt and courteous servicing of property claims and contact with insured and agency.
• Interact with policyholders, public adjusters, attorneys, vendors and experts to resolve claims.
• Identify, analyze and resolve coverage issues arising in claims investigation.
• Perform factual investigation of cause of loss.
• Make coverage determinations based on policy and endorsements.
• Maintain proper file documentation reflecting progressive claim handling.
• Prepare coverage and payment letters to settle and conclude claims.

Position Summary

Position is responsible for prompt and thorough investigation of routine to moderately complex residential property claims. This is a field-based position involving on-site inspection of insured properties. Regular travel within assigned territory is required.

Essential Functions

• Prompt and courteous servicing of property claims, including insured and agency contact and follow through.
• Communicate and interact with a variety of individuals to foster the timely resolution of claims, including, but not limited to, policyholders, public adjusters, attorneys, vendors, and experts.
• Timely identification, analysis and resolution of coverage issues arising in claims investigation.
• Factual investigation of cause of loss.
• Coverage determination based on a variety of policy and endorsements.
• Maintain proper file documentation reflecting progressive claim handling.
• Coverage and Payment Letters necessary to settle and conclude the claim.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Must maintain a Florida All-Lines adjuster (620) license.
• 3+ years of homeowner’s claims field adjusting experience required handling all perils.
• Must be proficient with Xactimate and sketching, including mobile applications (iPad etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of property insurance policy and coverage analysis.
• Must be able to work under deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong skills and experience with Xactimate estimating program.
