Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Columbus, OH seeks a senior consulting leader to guide and grow the Utility Design Engineering discipline. The role requires a credible industry leader with client relationships and the ability to expand fiber design services regionally.

You will mentor managers and staff, drive project delivery, and manage budgets, schedules, and profitability while shaping the next phase of growth for fiber and utility design across markets.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in fiber utility design or related infrastructure.
• Leadership experience across multiple offices, geographies, or service lines.
• Established relationships within broadband, fiber, utility, municipal, contractor markets.
• Strong business development skills to win work and expand accounts.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Colliers Engineering & Design offices and client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UDE fiber discipline with accountability for financial performance and client satisfaction.
• Develop and execute growth strategies for fiber utility design in existing and new markets.
• Provide senior technical leadership for fiber design projects and ensure quality standards.
• Drive financial management: revenue forecasting, backlog review, and billing discipline.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop staff; build scalable training and succession plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety, contracts, and standard operating procedures.
