Job summary

Versys (Verified Systems) is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer to join our field teams in Arizona. You will perform fusion and mechanical splicing, analyze traces with OTDRs, and support test equipment to ensure low loss in aerial, subterranean, and data center networks.

A valid license and OSHA certification are required, with travel to project sites as needed. We offer competitive hourly wages, 401K matching, ESOP participation, health insurance contributions, and daily living allowances.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of verifiable field experience in outside plant (OSP) or inside plant (ISP) fiber construction.
• Proficient with industry-standard fusion splicers and test gear.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass screenings and OSHA 10/30 certification.
• Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions Software and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform single-mode and multi-mode fusion or mechanical splicing in diverse environments.
• Utilize OTDRs and power meters to analyze traces and document optical loss.
• Build, prep, label, and secure fiber distribution panels and splice closures.
• Diagnose network faults, respond to outages, and complete hot cuts to restore service.
• Interpret splice matrices, schematics, and as-built drawings for accurate work.
