Job summary

Rightfiber is seeking a Fiber Splicer to splice, terminate, and test fiber-optic, coaxial, and copper for new installations. The role requires productive field work, outdoor site access, and on-call rotations to support OSP projects.

You will read schematics, perform fusion splices, and ensure airtight, moisture-free closures while coordinating with project managers and utility partners. Valid DOT cert and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with telecom field experience.
• Experience reading schematics, splicing fiber, and testing assemblies.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and work outdoors in varied conditions.
• Familiarity with industry standards including OSHA, FCC, and DOT.

Responsibilities

• Splice, terminate, and test fiber-optic, coaxial, and copper for new installs.
• Prepare cables and perform fusion splices for aerial and underground work.
• Maintain splice closures and terminations, ensuring moisture-free enclosures.
• Travel to project sites and participate in on-call rotations.
• Provide detailed field reports and maintain equipment and records.
