Job summary

ByVerTek is seeking a Fiber Splicer to join our team in Florida, requiring 2–4 years of fiber splicing experience from 12ct to 864ct and troubleshooting as needed. The role involves field work, site access, and travel to various job sites, with emphasis on safety and accuracy to expand our fiber optic network.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of hot cuts, OTDR testing, and the ability to read plant facility records and engineering schematics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years fiber splicing experience.
• Knowledge of hot cuts and solid OTDR testing.
• Ribbon splicing knowledge preferred.
• Experience reading outside and subscriber plant facility records and engineering schematics.

Responsibilities

• Splice fiber optic cable of various counts including Ribbon fiber.
• Light labor such as lifting manhole covers and barricading open manholes.
• Work with ISP/OSP terminations.
• Work in and around hand-holes and manholes.
