Job summary

Optimum Communications Inc. in Midland, TX seeks a Maintenance Tech III to repair and maintain fiber and coax transport networks from headend to customer devices. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and support installation as needed to exceed customer expectations.

You will mentor junior techs, collaborate with Design, construction, ISP, and NOC/ROC teams, and help develop training materials to maintain high service reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with DOT qualifications.
• DOT medical card and CDL if applicable.
• Fiber repair and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of FTTH/RFOG architecture.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain FTTH/RFOG networks from headend to customer devices.
• Perform FCC-required network tests.
• Fulfills maintenance and troubleshooting across transport and distribution networks.
• Mentor lower-level technicians and assist in training.
• Coordinate with Design, construction, ISP, NOC/ROC to resolve issues.
• Support installation and service as needed.
