Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation seeks a Senior Ferries System Administrator to provide technical leadership for enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will manage Azure and AWS resources, guide modernization efforts, and ensure secure operations for WSF’s 24/7 activities across multiple facilities.

The role requires advanced cloud and cybersecurity expertise, strong collaboration with stakeholders, and the ability to drive lifecycle

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems administration, identity and access management, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience administering cloud-based, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Ability to lead infrastructure modernization, lifecycle management, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Administer and secure enterprise infrastructure platforms across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Provide technical leadership for modernization and lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure.
• Manage Azure and AWS resources, cloud networking, identity services, and security controls.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and PCI requirements.
• Lead infrastructure projects, migrations, and deployments for WSF operations.
• Serve as senior escalation resource for complex infrastructure issues.
