Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant, Environmental FERC Project Manager to lead permitting and compliance for nationwide FERC-regulated energy projects. You will guide interdisciplinary teams, manage complex programs, and represent ERM in regulatory discussions to shape policy and best practices.

Ideal candidates bring extensive FERC consulting experience, deep NEPA knowledge, and a track record in natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, and renewables projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 6+ years experience in environmental impact assessment and permitting for FERC-regulated projects.
• Prior consulting experience with FERC projects is essential.
• 5+ years leading large-scale natural gas and LNG permitting initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead permitting and compliance for FERC-regulated projects nationwide.
• Serve as primary client contact and guide interdisciplinary teams through permitting.
• Oversee FERC applications coordinating with agencies.
• Develop proposals, identify opportunities, maintain client relationships.
• Represent ERM in regulatory meetings and industry forums.
• Ensure quality control across EIA and compliance deliverables.
