Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Fellow in the Controls & Diagnostics Systems discipline to lead advanced diagnostic and prognostic work across commercial and military propulsion programs. The role focuses on real-time monitoring, AI-enabled diagnostics, and integration with onboard and offboard control systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive adoption of new techniques, and collaborate with government customers and suppliers to advance reliability and efficiency in aerospace propulsion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 14 years’ experience or an advanced degree and 12 years’ experience.
• U.S. Citizen — ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• Experience with diagnostic/prognostic techniques and safety-critical standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead advancements in diagnostic and prognostic technologies for commercial and military propulsion systems, including onboard/offboard solutions and control integration.
• Develop real-time and off-board hardware/software solutions for performance monitoring, trending, and alerting.
• Provide technical leadership for diagnostic/prognostic systems across the P&W product family.
• Drive research into next-generation aerospace solutions, including embedded diagnostic AI and wireless data download techniques.
• Mentor and develop future diagnostic and prognostic experts at P&W.
