Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking an experienced Feed Ingredient Buyer to lead sourcing, procurement, and logistics for bulk feed ingredients across multiple mill locations. The role focuses on cost, quality, inventory, and supply continuity while negotiating terms with producers, brokers, and transport partners.

The successful candidate will manage complex supplier relationships, assess market conditions, and implement hedging concepts to optimize delivered costs and reliability across inbound supply

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in agricultural commodity procurement or feed ingredient sourcing.
• Experience independently developing and executing sourcing strategies and leading complex supplier negotiations.
• Experience managing multi-location commodity supply and logistics across rail, barge, and/or truck transport.
• Experience evaluating commodity price risk and applying hedging concepts to sourcing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies for corn, soybean meal and other bulk feed ingredients.
• Lead complex supplier and commodity negotiations on pricing, volumes and terms.
• Manage inbound supply pipeline and logistics across multiple modes to support production.
• Monitor markets and risks; provide recommendations to leadership and optimize supplier base.
