Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking an experienced Feed Ingredient Buyer to develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies for corn, soybean meal, and other bulk feed ingredients across multiple mill locations. You will manage multimodal inbound logistics and negotiate favorable terms while balancing cost, quality and supply continuity.

The role requires senior-level expertise in commodity markets, supplier management, and risk assessment, with a focus on minimizing total delivered cost

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of agricultural commodity markets and price-risk management.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Experience coordinating multimodal transportation and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for corn, soybean meal and bulk feed ingredients based on demand and market conditions.
• Manage inbound supply and logistics for feed ingredients across rail, barge, truck, coordinating shipping and minimizing costs.
• Build strategic relationships with producers, brokers, and suppliers; negotiate terms and resolve complex claims.
