Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Federal Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead complex water infrastructure programs for federal agencies across the United States. You will oversee planning, design, and construction support with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will cultivate client relationships, contribute to business development, and ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Minimum 10 years related experience with at least 5 years in project management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or recognized by the local board.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience; Access knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
  • Active participation in an employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary projects from planning through closeout.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects aligning with client goals and budgets.
  • Build strong relationships with federal and military clients.
  • Support business development and project pursuits, including proposals.
  • Coordinate resources across disciplines to ensure successful delivery.
  • Mentor project teams and monitor financial performance and risk.
