Job summary

Maximus is seeking a seasoned Subcontracts Manager to oversee and optimize the company’s subcontracting functions. You will manage awards, track performance, and ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and CPSR guidance, while coordinating with project teams and government stakeholders.

The role requires experience with prime contracts, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to operate in a matrixed, fast-paced environment across DoD and Federal Civilian programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience managing subcontracts under Prime contracts (Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price, and Time & Materials).
• FAR/DFARS, NDA, TA best practices, and CPSR compliance knowledge.
• Proficiency with ERP and CLM systems; data analytics, reporting, or tool development preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Experience with Federal Civilian and/or DoD programs.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, and maintain subcontract data and historical documentation.
• Identify and resolve complex subcontract issues with minimal guidance.
• Prepare and administer subcontract awards, task orders, and modifications per regulations and Maximus policies.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and address disputes and issues.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals on pricing, capabilities, and history.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance to align strategies.
