Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a seasoned Senior Named Account Executive to defend critical Canadian infrastructure by selling to federal departments and agencies. You will engage technical buyers and procurement leads, shaping requirements and driving deals via PSPC pathways and channel partners.

The role requires extensive government sales experience in Ottawa, with a deep understanding of networking, cybersecurity, and complex procurement cycles.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of direct B2B experience selling security or networking products/solutions (cybersecurity, Zero Trust, SASE, IaaS, PaaS, etc.)
• 5+ years selling to the Canadian Federal Government in Ottawa, Ontario, with emphasis on DND and Public Safety
• Proven expertise navigating federal procurement mechanisms, PSPC contracting, and channel/VAR ecosystems
• Experience managing longer, complex public sector sales cycles and pre-procurement engagement
• Deep understanding of computer networking and how the Internet works
• Aptitude for learning technical concepts; background in network engineering or computer science is a plus
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit; comfortable in fast-paced, remote environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account/territory plans across key defense and security accounts to achieve revenue targets.
• Engage early in the procurement lifecycle to shape technical requirements and leverage procurement pathways to drive business.
• Articulate compelling value propositions for Cloudflare services to government buyers.
• Navigate PSPC procurement vehicles, Standing Offers, and channel partners to close deals.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and build long-term strategic relationships with key accounts and system integrators.
• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the engagement.
