Job summary

The Building People is seeking an experienced Program Manager for a DHS contract in Washington, DC. The role requires directing contract support operations across multiple projects, coordinating resources, and ensuring deliverables meet government requirements.

Strong leadership, communication, and security clearance are essential. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, and a track record of managing cost, schedule, and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of project management or managerial experience.
• Experience managing programs of large scope with cost, schedule, and deliverables oversight.
• Ability to develop Staffing Plans, Quality Control Plans, and Transition-Out Plans.
• Primary point of contact for CO/COR to resolve contract issues.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Top-Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; Master's preferred; PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operation of departments to ensure programs are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
• Proactively minimize delays in delivery and communicate program status to customers.
• Recruiting and hiring for the project and staff management.
• Regularly communicate with staff, subcontractors, and clients to align on schedules and resolve issues.
• Develop and monitor reports for government contracting requirements and program performance.
• Forecast potential delays and develop alternatives; ensure on-time delivery of all project deliverables.
• Participate in business development activities related to the contract.
