Job summary

Halvik Corp in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Network Engineer to operate, secure, and administer a federal government's network infrastructure. You will design LAN/WAN and cloud networks, implement security controls, and manage Palo Alto firewalls and NetApp storage in a secure environment.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years in the field, and an active Secret clearance. The role is on-site in Washington, DC, with daily M-F duties and opportunities to work with Azure and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Active Secret security clearance required or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and cloud networks.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize performance.
• Plan and manage network security measures including firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Execute network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure changes with minimal disruption.
• Monitor network performance, capacity, and health; conduct audits.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls and security policies, logs, and VPNs.
• Configure routing protocols and network connectivity across enterprise systems.
• Manage NetApp storage infrastructure supporting operations.
