Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS) is seeking a Project Manager/Construction Manager to lead retrofit and installation projects at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. You will oversee HVAC/mechanical upgrades, BAS/DDC controls, electrical work, and related systems.

Responsibilities include scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating vendors/subcontractors to deliver quality work on time and within scope. A strong background in PM/CM and DoD-style projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Project management or construction management experience, preferably with commercial or industrial HVAC mechanical, HVAC controls/BAS, electrical, MEP, or other related equipment and systems.
• Able to execute projects of higher project and contract complexity.
• Experience managing project financials (P&L management experience), including forecasting.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Proficiency with Project Management software and principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Procore preferred.
• Strong personal computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) and basic Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary leader for execution on retrofit and installation projects, HVAC, BAS/DDC controls, electrical upgrades, and other MEP systems.
• Develop project schedules and execute according to plan.
• Supervises field construction to ensure on-time completion, within budget, and quality workmanship.
• Manage budgets and monthly forecasting with Operations and Regional Manager.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractors, and subcontracts; ensure quality and timely payments.
