Orion Placement is seeking a senior-level attorney to lead a federal litigation practice in Dallas, Texas. The role includes ownership of the docket, strategic planning, and mentoring junior attorneys within a team handling immigration and federal actions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of federal litigation experience, a current U.S. bar license, and admission or rapid admission to Texas federal courts and the Fifth Circuit. Hybrid work arrangements are available after onboarding.

Formación

• 5+ years of federal litigation experience.
• Active law license in good standing in any U.S. state.
• Admission to Texas federal district court and/or the Fifth Circuit, or pending admission with 90 days to obtain.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a federal litigation docket.
• Experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, or litigation support staff.

Responsabilidades

• Own the federal litigation docket from strategy through filing, hearings, appeals, and resolution.
• Handle habeas petitions, mandamus actions, APA claims, district court complaints, TROs and injunctions, and Fifth Circuit appeals.
• Draft, review, finalize, and file federal court submissions.
• Maintain deadlines, case status, ownership, and docket reporting.
• Lead and train junior attorneys on federal litigation topics.
