Job summary

SHR Consulting Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead delivery of a FEMA program. You will oversee contractor performance, serve as the primary contact for FEMA CO and COR, and drive technical delivery across data engineering, cloud modernization, and SAFe practices.

This contingent role requires a senior leader with Federal IT experience, the ability to coordinate large multidisciplinary teams, manage risks, and communicate clearly with government stakeholders during

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing large, complex Federal IT or data/cloud modernization programs.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams including data engineers, architects, integration engineers, DevSecOps/cloud engineers, and Agile delivery personnel.
• Experience interacting with Federal CORs, COs, and senior Government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management, coordination, supervision, and delivery oversight for all contract activities.
• Serve as the primary contractor point of contact for the FEMA CO and COR.
• Lead delivery across data engineering, data migration, source-system integration, data architecture, external data sharing, AI/ML data enablement, sustainment, and platform scalability activities.
• Manage program performance using SAFe practices including PI planning, iterations/sprints, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate staffing, priorities, dependencies, risks, technical issues, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain program risk and issue management and elevate technical debt and delivery risks.
• Provide Monthly Status Reports covering completed and planned work, iteration performance, backlog status, risks/issues, dependencies, and staffing.
• Lead program reviews and Government coordination meetings.
• Ensure contract deliverables, documentation, and knowledge-transfer requirements are completed on schedule.
• Coordinate technical teams and Government stakeholders to resolve FEMA operations delivery issues.
