Job summary

COHO Consulting Group in Alexandria, VA, supporting the WHS HRD Hiring Support Services program, seeks a Senior HR Specialist to manage federal hiring operations and staffing processes. The role requires an active Secret Clearance, 8+ years in Federal HR (4+ in staffing), and experience with USA Staffing and DCPDS.

You will certify job announcements, advise managers, and administer HR systems while ensuring compliance and records accuracy.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Minimum 8 years of Federal HR experience with at least 4 years in staffing.
• Delegated Examining Certification preferred and ability to certify job announcements and selections.
• Experience with HR automated systems, including USA Staffing and DCPDS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment and staffing for Federal positions, including announcements and candidate assessments.
• Certify job announcements and selections in compliance with Federal regulations.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
• Administer HR systems (USA Staffing, DCPDS) to support HR functions.
• Provide guidance on Federal HR policies and manage employee relations and compliance.
• Maintain staffing documentation and ensure regulatory alignment.
