Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Federal Cybersecurity Senior Advisor for Security Data Management (SDM) to join the Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations team onsite in Round Rock, Texas. You will be a key technical contributor helping advance visibility, threat detection, and data-driven security operations.

Qualifications

• Must be a USA Citizen.
• 10–12 years of cybersecurity engineering experience with logging, monitoring, data management, and infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Elastic Stack, Cribl, and Splunk Enterprise/Cloud; proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker; CI/CD integration.
• Experience with Dell ECS, PowerScale and virtualized environments.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise logging and monitoring platform setup (Splunk/Elastic/Cribl) including dashboards and alerts.
• Design and maintain security data pipelines ensuring reliable log ingestion and data quality.
• Develop observability infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, Dell ECS/PowerScale; enable data-driven security.
• Create automation and integrations using Python, Bash, and PowerShell to streamline workflows.
• Support threat detection, incident response, and AI-enabled security operations with analytics-ready data.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS; aid audit readiness and privacy controls.
• Drive reliability with runbooks, incident response participation, and scalable remediations.
