Job summary

QinetiQ US in the United States is seeking a Mid-Level Contracts Closeout Specialist to join our team supporting the Department of War and customer programs. You will help ensure timely delivery, acceptance of end items, and compliance with FAR/DFARS closeout requirements.

The role collaborates with government contracting officers, engineers, and finance to reconcile funds, de-obligate excess amounts, and draft clear closeout documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• TS/SCI eligibility is required.
• 5+ years of federal contracting experience, including at least 3 years in contract closeout for a DoW customer.
• Knowledge of FAR 4.804 and DFARS 204.804 closeout procedures.
• Experience reconciling contract funds and resolving unliquidated obligations.
• Experience coordinating with DCMA, DCAA, and finance on final indirect cost rates and audits.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a large volume of closeout actions.
• Excellent written communication for determinations and closeout documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Government to execute source selections under FAR 9.505-4, including coordinating meeting requests, developing evaluations, and drafting proposal evaluations.
• Provide contract and subcontract management support.
• Advise on requests for proposals, evaluations, contract negotiation, administration, and execution.
• Provide contracts guidance and determinations for the program and business management teams.
• Advise management on contractual rights, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving.
• Advise and assist on management of existing IDIQ contracts and development/execution of acquisition strategies for follow-ons.
