Job summary

Atlas Connections is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Federal Construction to lead the successful delivery of complex federal projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will manage budgets, schedules, safety, quality, and client communications, coordinating with field leadership, design teams, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal support teams to ensure contract requirements are met and projects are completed on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and at least five years of relevant construction experience.
• Previous experience managing construction projects for federal government agencies.
• Experience with agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Veterans Affairs, General Services Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Air Force, or similar federal entities.
• Hands-on experience supervising trade construction activities.
• Experience creating and managing construction schedules from project start through completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction project accounting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of project execution, including budget, schedule, scope, safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Provide clear leadership and direction to project engineers, assistant project managers, coordinators, administrators, and interns, as assigned.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings, document key decisions, and ensure action items are completed on schedule.
• Proactively identify project risks and develop practical solutions to maintain project performance.
