Job summary

Federal Management Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Consultant to develop and implement compliance strategies for federal civilian clients.

The role focuses on regulatory adherence, risk mitigation, audits, and policy development within a hybrid work model with occasional in-person meetings in the Washington, DC area. You will lead compliance initiatives, collaborate with government agencies, and guide client teams, ensuring alignment with federal standards and regulations throughout project

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of federal government compliance consulting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business; Master's preferred.
• Up to 50% travel.
• US Citizenship required.
• CPA/CGFM/CIA or related certifications are desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of federal laws, OMB Circulars, and guidance.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a team and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Compliance Strategy Development: collaborate with federal clients to assess risks and implement solutions.
• Risk Mitigation: identify risks and align with government standards.
• Audit & Assessment: conduct audits and produce remediation plans.
• Policy & Procedure Development: develop/update policies and internal controls.
• Training & Capacity Building: train client teams on best practices.
• Monitoring & Reporting: establish systems and report to stakeholders.
• Client Collaboration: act as trusted advisor throughout the project.
