Job summary

Coach is a global fashion house based in New York, part of the Tapestry family, seeking a role focused on seasonal development and licensing coordination. The candidate will collaborate with internal designers, manage trend research, and align with licensing teams to ensure timely approvals and detailed material handling.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Fashion/Apparel Design and 4 years of related experience, with CAD skills in Illustrator/Photoshop.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fashion/Apparel Design or related field or foreign equivalent.
4 years of experience in the job offered or related position.
Experience examining sample garments on and off models and modifying designs to achieve desired effects.
Experience conferring with sales/management executives or clients to discuss design ideas.
Experience selecting materials and production techniques for products.
Experience with CAD software - Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop.
Experience developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products.

Responsibilities

Partner with internal Coach designers on seasonal development, product expectations, and deliverables and ensure alignment.
Conduct seasonal trend research to pass to designers.
Pass trend and seasonal color palette to licensing team and ensure updates are captured during reviews.
Coordinate with internal teams to pass seasonal prints based on deliverables.
Create and implement a process to ensure all licensed products follow proper approval processes.
Work with materials team to secure tie-back materials for retail/outlet.
Pass RTW fabric/RTW leather/RTW trim/LG material/back to license team with approved treatments.
Secure material and coordinate dates for bulk projections and orders.
Follow up with PD/Production Asia to arrange technique swatches for license vendor.
Receive material cuttings at sample and bulk stages to share with license and streamline processes.
Manage development calendar ensuring Coach design information is timely.
Follow up on sample status for proto and show samples.
Support license account on all approvals and manage late requests to fit timelines.
