Job summary

Coach, a global fashion house and part of the Tapestry family, seeks a Design Director for Specialty Accessories and Technical Design in New York. You will lead the Specialty Accessories Design and Technical Design teams, translating brand narratives into expressive accessories across Women's, Men's, Runway, and Outlet lines.

Oversee development from concept to commercialization with craftsmanship and quality standards.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in accessories design and technical design with exposure to specialty, novelty, or small leather goods categories preferred.
Proven ability to lead creative and technical teams and align vision with product execution.
Experience within a global brand, balancing creativity with commercial considerations.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight across design and technical development.
Lead and develop the Specialty Accessories Design and Technical Design teams.
Interpret brand narratives and runway concepts into expressive accessories.
Collaborate with Product Development and Merchandising to balance quality, cost, and timing.
Mentor team and provide clear design feedback in reviews and cross‑functional presentations.
