Job summary

H&R Agri-Power Inc. in Hopkinsville, KY seeks a Service Technician to perform mid-level and advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on farm equipment, contributing to customer satisfaction and operating efficiency.

The role requires interpretation of manuals and specs, hands-on work with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drive trains, and coordination with the Service Manager to source parts. An hourly wage with quarterly bonuses based on performance is offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience navigating a computer.
• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Tech.
• Heavy Equipment or Diesel Tech degree preferred but not required.
• Agriculture experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and identify mechanical defects on farm equipment.
• Determine appropriate vendor; retrieve manuals, schematics, and procedures to determine repairs needed.
• Analyze manuals, schematics, drawings, procedures, and regulations.
• Repair and/or replace components of diesel engine hydraulics, AC, electrical and suspension systems, drive trains, steering, and material handling.
• Carry out mid-level and/or advanced repairs to return equipment to full operation and satisfy customer needs.
• Perform periodic maintenance by lubricating, checking fluids and replacing parts.
• Keep customers updated on prices, repairs, and timeframes for tasks.
• Operate tools and machinery safely, and follow procedures and regulations.
• Receive tickets from the Service Manager and complete work with minimal supervision.
• Document repairs, maintenance, and parts used per company standards.
• Communicate with Service Manager and Parts to obtain necessary parts.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Adhere to safety standards and complete assigned training on schedule.
• Maintain knowledge of current equipment and products offered by H&R Agri-Power.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Service, Parts, or Store Management.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
