NEW Solutions seeks an experienced associate to support Farm Bill conservation programs under a partnership with NRCS in Amherst, MA. The enrollee will provide technical assistance and help implement conservation practices while coordinating across Holden, Wareham, and Amherst sites.

Qualified applicants have 15+ years in agriculture operations, a related BA/BS, and proficiency with Windows, MS Word/Excel, ArcGIS, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in agricultural operations and resources management.
• BA/BS Degree in Natural Resources, Business, Agronomy, or related.
• Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, ArcGIS; Protracts, Conservation Desktop, MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical and program delivery conservation work in support of Farm Bill conservation Programs.
• Provides technical assistance, assists with conservation planning and contracts, and performs program-related duties requiring technical knowledge and expertise to support program delivery.
• This position will support and work at multiple locations: 35% Holden, MA; 35% Wareham, MA; 30% Amherst, MA.
• Assist field office staff with CSP/EQIP contract items such as contract modifications and waivers.
• Ensure practices meet User Guide requirements and that planning, acreage, contracts and rankings are accurate.
• Track Farm Bill contracts, pending actions and reviews; prepare follow-up letters to participants.
• Enter data into agency software and prepare reports; analyze problems and take remedial actions.
• Assist with office tasks and customer service as assigned.
