Job summary

City of Hampton seeks a Social Services Supervisor to manage a team of Family Services Specialists and Principal Family Services Specialists. The role provides leadership, ensures policy compliance, and improves service delivery for children and vulnerable adults.

The incumbent will work with community agencies, train staff, and participate in planning to develop new resources, while maintaining accurate records and program data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field required.
• Minimum five years direct social service delivery experience including supervision.
• Knowledge of social work principles, policies, and local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Family Services Specialists and Principals; plan, assign, review work.
• Ensure compliance with policy and deliver services to protect vulnerable populations.
• Provide leadership, training, and performance evaluation for staff.
• Represent the agency on committees and coordinate with community partners.
• Maintain records, analyze program data, and prepare reports.
